An 800-year-old cat-like hermit who lives quietly atop his tower in the Sacred Land of Korin. He is considered a god of martial arts, and once trained Master Roshi for three years. If he isn't quarreling with Yajirobe, he's either observing the world below or cultivating Senzu Beans.

Goku first arrived at Korin Tower in the hopes of obtaining the Divine Water so he could defeat Tao Pai Pai. Though it took Master Roshi three years to finally obtain the water, it only took Goku three days, much to the surprise of Korin.
