Following the destruction of the Sky Lagoon, Repliforce's Colonel refused to have his men put down their arms and come in to Hunter Base for questioning regarding the incident, leading to them being branded as Mavericks. This played into the hands of Sigma, who had tried but failed to coerce General into turning his army against the humans, instead kicking off the Great Repliforce War against the Maverick Hunters.
SPOILER: General led his trusting followers in a coup for independence, seeking to build a utopian nation that would act as a sanctuary for all Reploids in the name of their own liberty and security, while refuting any notion that the coup was about insurrection or rebellion. This ultimately led to plans for them to venture out into space, convening aboard the orbital satellite Final Weapon, where General would square off against the leader of the 17th Unit, X.
Towering over X at nearly four times the comparatively diminutive Reploid's height (just under 6m/21ft tall), General's greatest asset in battle was his enormous bulk, which he used by hovering around his chamber with back- mounted jet boosters and delivering a crushing Body Blow when positioned above his target.
Each of his arms was equipped with rocket-propelled fists which, while potentially devastating, were slow-moving and could also be used as footholds to gain an advantage due to their enormous size. While the arms were deployed, General could fire Ring Lasers at his foes, and could also deploy a wave of six Shuriken Lasers when the battle began to favor X. General survived the battle, sustaining severe damage, but the two were soon interrupted by Sigma taking control of Final Weapon's eponymous function in a bid to destroy the Earth. Though X was able to defeat Sigma, Final Weapon remained poised to fire until General elected to use his own body to stop the weapon, leading to a chain reaction which destroyed the entire satellite.
