One of Rosamia's fellow test subjects. Quite carefree and naive, Cherine often encouraged Rosamia during their time together at the empire's test facility. She served as the 79th test subject in the empire's mask experiment. Before her own escape, Rosamia had assumed that Cherine had died while protecting the other test subjects from a masked assailant, when in reality, she had miraculously survived.
Gradually succumbing to the mask's corruption, the once cheery girl begins to have a desire to stab things with her spear—which is when she decides to join hands with Zaryda. Although usually laid-back, Cherine begins to tremble after holding back her desires for too long. She often finds herself caressing certain objects and weapons, much like one would a pet. This could be because she has no outlet to direct her misguided affection.
Bloodsoaked and yearning for salvation, the girl had reached out for a hand that brought her morbid relief. But now, in her grasp is a strong yet gentle presence that never fails to aid others. She accepts the outstretched palm and holds it tightly, determined to return the unconditional care she receives from her dear friend.
