[[1954-1975]]
From a terrifying force of nature representing the horrors of war, to a parental figure primed for blockbuster kaiju team-ups,
Godzilla's role varied with each new Show era incarnation.
[[1984-1995]]
In 1984, the King of the Monsters' cinematic canon returned to its darker roots in Godzilla Returns.

The eldest son of a ducal house of the former Irestill Kingdom. In contrast to the crown prince, who was prone to illness and inspired doubts about succession, his younger brother—Mac Nessa's grandfather and Miach's great grandfather—helped soothe political unrest by leaving the royal family and establishing himself as a duke instead. As such, while their political positions may have been at odds, the two families have long been close at the personal level. However, in order to truly end his line's claim to throne, the brother invoked an ancient rule that allowed for closing the house if there was no male heir. In order for this plan to work, Miach was forced to live his life as a girl.
He studied abroad at Sphiria's Hall of Knowledge from a young age to avoid being used by anyone for political gain. Miach was fully aware of this all along and agreed to it for the sake of Alster's future, though he cannot deny that he's felt like he's gotten the cold shoulder in more ways than one. Heles, not wanting Miach to feel alone and isolated, made sure to regularly send him letters and treats from Alster. He firmly believes that using the knowledge he's accumulated and his innate mana for the betterment of Alster is the surest way to repay Heles's kindness and to fulfill his father's wishes.
