[[1954-1975]]
From a terrifying force of nature representing the horrors of war, to a parental figure primed for blockbuster kaiju team-ups,
Godzilla's role varied with each new Show era incarnation.
[[1984-1995]]
In 1984, the King of the Monsters' cinematic canon returned to its darker roots in Godzilla Returns.
This raging Godzilla radiated renewed menace, with a mountainous silhouette of massive dorsal fins running from its fanged face to its longest tail yet.
A beautiful, 23-year-old female doctor working for the Red Cross. Yoshiko is a brave woman who devotes herself to disaster victims, completely disregarding any personal danger. Without knowing the secret behind the ambulance she usually drives (Guard Rescue), she utilizes it for Red Cross activities, but because of too many inexplicable occurrences, she has grown suspicious of the vehicle's true identity.
She also harbored doubts about the composition of Yutaro Katori's blood, and since then, as she increasingly witnessed his heroic deeds at various incident scenes, she found herself drawn to him. Eventually, sparked by learning the true identity of Katori— a being whose mysterious charm she felt but could not fully comprehend— her bond with the Space Police Force grew even stronger.
She possesses a resilient, peace-loving heart that refuses to yield, even when she is taken hostage by Dr. Jango. Deeply moved by her spirit, Guard Rescue offered her words of encouragement, leading her to join the Earth branch of the Space Police Force. Furthermore, she eventually takes up permanent residence at the Amano Peace Research Institute.
While her primary goal is, of course, to fight alongside Dr. Amano and the others against Draias to achieve world peace— and it is certain she possesses a scientific interest in the Space Police Force— the greatest reason of all might just be that she is utterly charmed by the presence of the pure-hearted Katori.
