Levi grew up in an unstable home, having an alcoholic father who frequently abused Levi's mother. One night, Levi's parents had an fight so bad that it ended up with his mother being killed by his father. With his mother dead and his father being unfit to raise a child, Levi was sent to the orphanage.
The orphanage treated the children there very poorly and many would disappear without a trace. Levi couldn't wait to leave.
When the second great war started, the Eastern Union recruited every able-bodied person, regardless of age. Despite only being 13 at the time, Levi was drafted to fight in the war.
Levi excelled on the battlefield, and was soon given his own squad of child soldiers to lead. He was soon assigned a suicide mission. Miraculously, he survived the mission but gained an opioid addiction while trying to deal with the mental trauma of said mission.
Unable to stand being a soldier anymore, Levi deserted the army and returned to Prehevil, having nowhere else to go.
