Born in [tag:7630110 Prehevil], Marina was the firstborn son of Father Domek. Since all firstborn sons in church were forced to become dark priests, Marina's mother dressed her up as a girl and told Domek that their child was female so that Marina had the ability to choose what she wanted in life. As Marina grew older, she felt more natural identifying as a girl, and chose to stay that way.

Marina showed promising talent as an occultist and gained the attention of the Vatican's Ministry of Darkness, being offered a scholarship there. Wanting to leave Prehevil as soon as possible due to it being a backwater town and to get away from her condescending father, She accepted the scholarship and began studying at the Ministry of Darkness.

While pursuing her studies, Marina suddenly gets a letter from her father. The letter coldly stated that her mother had passed away. Marina tried to call home, but she couldn't contact any phone in Prehevil. She believed that her father had something to do with her mother's death due to his interest in blood magic.

Determined to learn the truth and confront her father, Marina decides to return to Prehevil.
