[[1954-1975]]
From a terrifying force of nature representing the horrors of war, to a parental figure primed for blockbuster kaiju team-ups,
Godzilla's role varied with each new Show era incarnation.
[[1984-1995]]
In 1984, the King of the Monsters' cinematic canon returned to its darker roots in Godzilla Returns.
This raging Godzilla radiated renewed menace, with a mountainous silhouette of massive dorsal fins running from its fanged face to its longest tail yet.
Once a volunteer test subject for Supra-Force Metal experimentation on Reploids, Epsilon was the only one to survive and not go insane, instead being granted enhanced strength and intelligence as a result. Seeking to advance the Reploid race to greater heights through reproducing the process, he founded the Rebellion under the guise of "freedom" for Reploids.
Banishing all humans from Giga City and demanding recognition from the Federation government, Epsilon's efforts gained him followers but also sparked a Resistance movement within the artificial island metropolis. Rather than granting sovereignty, the Federation instead labeled Epsilon and his army as Mavericks, and summarily had a squad of Maverick Hunters dispatched to quell the uprising.
Epsilon planned a countermeasure to reassert himself, installing Supra-Force Metal within the warhead of a missile to ward off his enemies, its energies estimated as being capable of making a significant number of Reploids go Maverick. A group of Resistance fighters and Maverick Hunters led by X would confront the Rebellion commander, bringing an end to Epsilon's ambitions.
However, it would soon be discovered that Epsilon had been set up by one of our own, Colonel Redips, who manipulated events in order to acquire the Supra-Force Metal for himself.
Using the power of the Supra-Force Metal, Epsilon proved a formidable combatant. His Metacrush and Fatal Attacks instantly drained a Reploid of all or almost all their energy, while Nova Impact launched an energy projectile which exploded on impact, damaging all within its blast radius considerably. His Ultra Giga Fire, Ultra Giga Thunder, Ultra Giga Blizzard, and Power Virus attacks could affect multiple targets simultaneously.
By initiating Omega Force, Epsilon was able to enhance his attack power further as "Eject Epsilon", while also erecting a barrier capable of blocking many attack types and regenerating his life energy.
