Flint is the third member of the Sinnoh Elite Four. He is hot-blooded, and often makes similarly fire-related puns in his speech. When he first meets the player, he asks them to help reignite his friend Volkner's passion for battling, and becomes excited to battle them himself after they manage to succeed. He specialises in Fire-type Pokémon, with his ace being Infernape in the originals, and Magmortar in the remakes.
