Description update source

When the previous university librarian retired, their replacement couldn't have been more different. Athletic, upbeat, and outgoing to a fault, Shino Kikuchi seizes every opportunity to chat with the soft-spoken student who stays long after the library's normal closing hours.

From an unusual delight in new technology to her odd attitude towards her work, Shino presents a puzzling figure to a bemused Honoka.

Quotes (4)

- You have to dedicate yourself to something along the way, I think. Even if it's something small, I always try to set things right in the world. If I can keep myself thinking that, what's going on at any one time isn't a big deal. (Act One, Scene Two)

- You should slow down. Life is plenty long enough, there's no need to rush. (Act One, Scene Seven)

- Someone unimportant. Think of me as the breeze in the trees. (Act Two, Scene Seven)

- Depression isn't painful because of the sadness; it's painful because of its absence. There are no tears, after a while. No happiness, either. Just… nothing. A hollow more painful than any sadness. What people don't talk about is the other part. The darkness that wells up inside. It's a poison that eats at you, destroys you. That twists itself into rage at an unfair world. (Act Three, Scene Four)
