The first successfully made Vallant. Known by many as the forefather of the Vallant, he is a half-person, half-dragon descendant of the Amphiptere dragons of Avalon. Like others of his kind, he is endowed with perpetual youth, an extended lifespan, and extraordinary physical prowess. A rarity even among his own people, he also has an exceptional memory and the ability to perceive the recollections of others through their blood—both talents he inherited from his dragon ancestors. Having lived away from society with his war-averse people, he is somewhat naive—a trait that would cause him many troubles during his time serving the kingdom of Feendrache. He is paternal cousins with the man known as the Knight of the Lake. Though they were once each other's trusted confidants, their relationship soured when the kingdom used Maleagant as a test subject during the war in pursuit of creating the Vallant.
The orphan of paradise awakens from a frigid, melancholic winter only to find himself utterly alone—bereft of friends, family, and his only confidant. Through each desolate age, he journeys in solitude, witnessing the future of those who live in the present, and praying to be reunited with those he held dear in a paradise absent of suffering and sorrow.
