Sora and Kairi's best friend since childhood. He has a strong will and an inquisitive spirit, and although he may act cool, he cares about his friends. He grew up in Destiny Islands, but he wasn't satisfied with his life on his small island and yearned for the outside world. This longing, combined with his complex feelings towards his friends, enables Ansem, Seeker of Darkness, to take advantage of him. Fortunately, he met Mickey. With his new friend's help, Riku learned to turns his wrongs into rights, and eventually became one of Sora's greatest, unseen allies.
