Scarlet Commander Marjhan is one of the only members of the Scarlet Crusade players can actually talk to (at least without having to don a disguise or something similar) in the first three iterations of World of Warcraft (Vanilla/Classic, The Burning Crusade, and Wrath of the Lich King). This is because she is acting as a diplomat. She can be found at Light's Hope Chapel in the Eastern Plaguelands, negotiating an alliance between the Crusade, the Argent Dawn, and the Brotherhood of the Light, the other two (generally friendlier) holy orders bent on destroying the Scourge, in order to combat the new threat posed by the arrival of the dread necropolis Naxxramas in the skies above the Plaguelands. She evidently does so even without the Grand Crusader sanctioning such an accord.
The other diplomats are quick to reprimand Marjhan's racist comments about the Horde, which makes sense given that the Argent Dawn is a neutral faction and includes members from Horde races, though it is worth noting that the Crusade sees themselves as the remnants of the Kingdom of Lordaeron, who were very much enemies of the Horde before the kingdom fell to the Scourge. Indeed many Alliance NPCs make similar comments.
Despite her own pessimistic outlook on their chances of stopping the forces of Kel'Thuzad, Marjhan does try to bridge the gap between the orders. She is shut down, however, when she brings up the legendary Ashbringer. This incredibly powerful weapon was corrupted when Scarlet Commander Mograine was manipulated into murdering his father, its original welder, with his own sword, thus corrupting the blade and causing it to fall into the hands of the Scourge. The details of this event have undergone at least one retcon over the years, most notably with the release of the Ashbringer comic, but needless to say it's not a subject the other two orders are happy to talk about with the Crusade. Commander Eligor Dawnbringer of the Brotherhood of the Light even threatens to have Marjhan killed, during a negotiation, just for bringing it up.
